Over 325 FREE Community Meals prepared by the GALS were served on December 14th. Drive thru style - Spaghetti. 100 bags of kid friendly groceries were given out.
Saturday, December 10th was a special evening at Bethlehem. The evening began with soup and sandwiches in the Fellowship Hall. The weather cooperated and the children were able to present their Christmas program outside. The program was a Hometown Christmas. A dedication of our new Nativity Scene and Bethlehem Star was held. Then all enjoyed smores, cookies and hot chocolate.
Our Angel Tree had white angels for students at Bunker Hill High School and red cardinals for Cardinal Kids. Church members purchased gifts for over 50 children and youth.

Consecration: the action of making or declaring something sacred
Consecration Sunday was held on October 30, 2022. Rev. Paul Christy, Senior Pastor at First UMC Hickory, was our guest speaker. We have learned a lot in the past four weeks about Consecration Sunday and how to improve our personal, spiritual, faith commitment for the missions and ministries of the church.

The Youth group collected 115 shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse 2022Operation Christmas Child.

Community Meals A free Community Meal will be served drive-thru style on the second Wednesday of the month. The meal will be prepared by the GALS and boxed to go.
Pastor Appreciation Sunday was celebrated on October 9, 2022. Pastor Dennis was recognized by SPPRC Chair Kristen Sims for his service and dedication to our church, congregation and community. We all enjoyed cake after the service.
2021
Free Laundry Day was held December 4th. Everyone was so thankful. They always look forward to us coming. There were several people that did not know about it. They praised God because it was such a blessing at this time in their lives. Over $300 was spent and many more blessings given. Special thanks to Terri Miller and all who participated and donated.
38 shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child were boxed and sent in November. This was a project by the children and youth of the church.
THANKS to everyone who donated to our Coats for Kids project. We delivered 25 new coats and 8 gently used coats, plus scarves, gloves and caps to the Salvation Army. We appreciate your donations to help our children stay warm. Outreach Team
Approximately 130 pairs of shoes and 150 lbs of clothing were shipped to Honduras for the Good News Store. This was a project by the Men in Christ.
$446.16 was raised for the Pregnancy Care Center with the Baby Bottle fundraiser sponsored by the United Methodist Women.
The GALS sponsored the Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 14th. Due to the increase in COVID cases, the event was changed to a drive through. Children received book bags stuffed with school supplies and a Pelican's Snow Cone. The GALS would like to thank everyone who contributed school supplies or money, those who packed the bags and those who helped make the event a huge success. Bethlehem UMC wishes all students, school staff and parents a blessed 2021-2022 school year.
Vacation Bible School was a big huge success! On Saturday, June 19th, 2021, 41 children attended CONCRETE and CRANES 2021. The children spent the day learning about how God Chooses Us and God Loves Us Always! The kids played, learned stories, made crafts, ate lunch and finished off the day with inflatable water slides, games and Pelican's Snowballs!
